ACCM 5060 - Commercial Law for Accountants

Prerequisite(s): MGT 2210, ACC 3510, and master’s standing; or permission of the MPAcc coordinator

This course provides a contemporary view of the legal environment as it relates to the accounting profession. Students study selected provisions of the Uniform Commercial Code including secured transactions, commercial paper, and sales. Students also study and analyze cases and problems in bankruptcy, financial reporting, and professional liability.
