PSY 2001 - Careers and Professional Development in Psychology

Description: This course provides students with an overview of careers and opportunities in the field of psychology. Topics include the sub-specialties and professions within psychology, career options for psychologists, and graduate school and/or bachelor’s level employment. Students will learn the differences between psychology sub-specialties and the educational requirements for entering different specialties. In addition, students will learn professional skills such as creating a resume, creating a personal statement, using professional etiquette, searching research databases, and writing in APA style.
