ENG 3475 - Literature of the OppressedCredits: 3 Prerequisite(s): ENG (2000 or 2100) AND (junior or senior)-level standing OR permission of the instructor Description: In this course, students study critical literary theories as an inroad into reading and discussing literary depictions of oppressed populations. Students study a variety of literary genres including canonical and non-canonical works written by and about various oppressed populations. Genres of study include but are not limited to: novels, short stories, narrative essays, young adult literature, and film. |
