CJC 3510 - Drug Abuse: Legal Issues and Treatment

Prerequisite: At least junior standing or Permission of instructor

An intensive study of the legal problems of illicit drug trafficking, control of drug abuse, and alternative approaches. Emphasis is on major judicial decisions and administrative procedures used by criminal and civil authorities, the behavior of the addict, the impact of international conventions, and the prognosis for future criminal justice system responses.
