This course introduces the theory of strength of materials; stresses and strains in members subjected to tension, compression, and shear; flexural and shearing stresses beams; deflection of beams; column analysis; principal stresses; and introduction to indeterminate structures.Credit will be granted for only one prefix: MET or CET.(CET 3130)
