SLHS 4552 - Early Childhood Communication Intervention



Credits: 1 (0.5 + 1)

Prerequisite(s): SLHS 2890 and either SLHS 1500 or SLHS 3600 with a grade of “C” or better: or permission of instructor

Corequisite(s): SPE 4500 and one of the following: SLHS 3580, SLHS 3590, or SLHS 4510; or permission of instructor

Description: This course introduces the student to the principles of intervention planning and services for the preschool child with communication disorders and/or delays. Students will analyze diagnostic data, create goals and objectives and implement intervention using direct and indirect service delivery models. Students will gain experience communicating with parents and professionals in oral and written formats.

Note: This course may be repeated for up to 3 credits.
