THE 3232 - Acting for the Camera



Credits: 3 (3 + 0)

Prerequisite(s): THE 2220 or permission of department

Description: The student is introduced to the fundamental tools of acting for the camera.  Students learn basic film terminology, specific camera acting techniques, auditioning techniques, and the demands placed on an actor when shooting a film.  The course uses exercises, scenes, and readings to provide a solid understanding of how to create a character, analyze a text, utillize important vocabulary, and perform effectively on camera.
