AES 4370 - Advanced Navigation Systems
Credits: 3 (3 + 0)
Prerequisite(s): AES 1100 and At least junior standing
Description: This course is a follow-up to the navigation portion of AES 1100. It reviews geographic coordinate systems, and aircraft position determination, and further develops navigation systems available to modern aviation. A survey study is conducted of all long-range navigation systems to include FMS, EFIS, INS, and GPS. Finally, electronic instrumentation, navigation, and flight management systems are discussed.
