SWK 4410 - Advanced Cross-Cultural Social Work Issues

Corequisite(s): SWK 4810
Description: Emphasis is on empowerment of individuals, families, groups, organizations and communities who have experienced social and economic injustice. Students apply principles and perspectives essential to helping urban, populations-at-risk including African-American, Asian-American, Hispanic, Native-American and Anglo, through case examples. This course includes content on other minority groups such as the developmentally disabled, the aging, gender and sexual minorities, and women and children.
