HTE 2015 - Beverage Fundamentals
Credits: 3 (2 + 2)
Description: This course provides an overview of responsible beverage service. Practical, hands-on experience focuses on how to manage the beverage option of restaurant, hotel, and event businesses and its relationship to sustainable tourism. Students learn the requirements to equip, staff, manage, and market beverage operations. Additional skill practice is integrated to purchase, appraise, and prepare beverages. The classic spirits of the world, their history, and modern production methods also are reviewed.
