HSP 4790 - Professional Internship

Prerequisite(s): Human Services major with senior standing, satisfactory completion of all General Studies
course requirements, HSP 2070 and HSP 2080; or approval of department chairperson.

Description: The Professional Internship is the culmination of training for the bachelor’s degree in Human Services. Students demonstrate readiness for professional employment while in a supervised placement within a human service agency or other nonprofit organization. Students integrate knowledge, skills, values and ethics in their placement and complete a project that supports the agency’s mission and is above and beyond the usual requirements of a job.
