CHE 4970 - Internship I: T1 Mentor
Credits: 0.5
Description: The T1 mentor stays with the student throughout the program and ensures their retention and success by identifying student-specific challenges and devising solutions. The T1 mentor closely monitors the student’s progress and helps them stay on track to complete requirements on time. The student meets with their tier-1 mentor weekly or biweekly in this course and works towards establishing an Individual Development Plan (IDP) for their post-bac coursework and receives support in deciding their research goals as well as identifies a research advisor to achieve these goals.
Note:
- This course is part of the American Chemical Society Post-Baccalaureate Bridge Program (ACS-BP) and the Chemical Industry, National, and Government Laboratory Post-Baccalaureate Bridge Program (ING-BP) .
- Internship I is required for each participant in their first year of the ACS-BP or ING-BP postbaccalaureate program and is repeated three times.
