MTLM 5610 - Elementary Mathematics from an Advanced Perspective

Prerequisite(s): Graduate Standing
Description: Mathematical topics integrated in a concept-oriented approach to explore critical problems from an advanced perspective, derive and justify multiple solutions, and analyze and communicate the reasoning behind these solutions. Students practice growth mindset, welcome their own and, through video and written cases, children’s mathematical identities as doers, explorers, knowers, and sense makers of mathematics, and prepare to model that in their practice.
