This course introduces students to basic economic concepts and reasoning, the legal foundations of a market-based economic system, the fundamentals of the macroeconomy, and the foundations of the global economy. Students will be exposed to measurements of a nation’s macreconomy, money and banking, the role of government in the economy, the importance of the international economy, and myths about markets.
