Description: This course focuses on K-6 writing instruction, as informed by the Colorado Academic Standards and the Colorado Department of Education Framework for Writing Instruction. Course topics include evidence-based methods for teaching components of the writing process as well as grammar and spelling. Teacher candidates experience and apply instructional methods both in class and in the co-requisite literacy field.
