A grade of “C-” or better is required for each course in these programs to count toward the bachelor’s degree. Students should note that programs differ in the minimum grade required.

Students are urged to take one year of general chemistry and one year of electronics. It is strongly suggested that students seriously considering graduate school in physics take at least 6 more semester hours of upper-division physics courses selected in consultation with and approved by the Physics Department.
A one-year sequence of PHY 2010 - PHY 2020 - PHY 2030 - PHY 2040 may be substituted for the PHY 2311 - PHY 2331 - PHY 2321 - PHY 2341 requirements with the consent of the Physics Department. Electives:
A minimum of 8 additional semester hours of upper-division physics courses, two (2) of which must be from either PHY 4611 or PHY 4711. Required Ancillary Courses for Bachelor of Arts:
