 Students are urged to take one year of general chemistry and one year of electronics. It is strongly suggested that students seriously considering graduate school in physics take at least 6 more semester hours of upper-division physics courses selected in consultation with and approved by the Physics Department. A one-year sequence of PHY 2010 - PHY 2020 - PHY 2030 - PHY 2040 may be substituted for the PHY 2311 - PHY 2331 - PHY 2321 - PHY 2341 requirements with the consent of the Physics Department.Electives:
 A minimum of 8 additional semester hours of upper-division physics courses, two (2) of which must be from either PHY 4611 or PHY 4711.Required Ancillary Courses for Bachelor of Arts:
