Surveying management is the area of surveying addressing the dual role of professional surveyor and proprietor, lead professional, or supervisory manager of a consulting surveying organization or municipal/ regional government agency. The intent of these studies is to provide the professional surveyor with the knowledge useful in supervising employees and managing projects and programs.

2. A minimum of twenty credits [excluding prerequisites] must be completed.
Prerequisites for the courses listed above may include, depending on the specific courses chosen, one or more of the following: SUR 2520 - Surveying II, SUR 2530 - Route Surveying, SUR 2620 - Survey Drafting - CAD, and SUR 3210 - Case Studies and Legal Research, in addition to ACC 2020 - Principles of Accounting II, ENG 1020 - Freshman Composition: Analysis, Research, and Documentation, MGT 3000 - Organizational Management, and college courses in calculus, probability and statistics, and physics.
