Students seeking a Communication Studies Minor are required to take a minimum of 21 semester hours, 12 of which must be upper division. A grade of “C-” or better is required for each course in this program to count toward the minor. Students should note that programs differ in the minimum grade required.
Students must take CAS 1010 Public Speaking or CAS 1710 Interpersonal Communication as their General Studies Oral Communication requirement. This course is required for all Communication Studies majors and minors but is not counted in the total hours required for the major or minor.

Students, in consultation with their CAS advisor, must choose at least two of these core CAS courses:

Students must select 9-15 credits of content chosen from CAS courses in consultation with their CAS advisor.
