Human Development Major, B.A. with Early Childhood Education Licensure

This interdisciplinary major in human development will provide students with a focus on the entire life span and in-depth knowledge about theory, research, and application in human development. Students will participate in field experiences to make connections between theory, research, and practice. The core curriculum of Human Development is designed to prepare candidates to pass the licensure content exam and to teach to the Colorado Model Content Standards for Early Childhood Education.

The following courses fulfill the general studies requirements for MSU Denver and the teacher licensure program for degree-seeking candidates.

Human Development Elective Courses


Choose three of the following courses. The following courses are recommended for Early Childhood Education: ECE 3340, ECE 3750 and PSY 3250.
