The Bachelor of Science in Travel and Tourism Management, Leisure Tourism Minor, Corporate Travel Minor, Travel Consultant Ce1tificate, and Corporate Travel Certificate are programs designed for professionals wishing to seek a career in the largest industry and the largest employer in the world and the second largest employer in Colorado: the Travel and Tourism Industry. The degree, minor, and certificate programs provide two distinct, yet related concentrations of study in leisure tourism or corporate travel.
Graduates of the degree, minor, and certificate programs will be able to:
- Acquire the skills needed for a career in the travel and tourism industry.
- Gain knowledge on the latest trends in the travel and tourism industry.
- Work in a variety of settings with diverse people from all walks of life.
- Pursue graduate education in the field of travel and tourism.
To be awarded a TTM degree a student must complete all of the following:
- All departmental requirements as outlined below.
- 33 minimum credit hours of General Studies course requirements.
- 3 credit hours of the Multicultural graduation requirement (may be taken within General Studies).
- 36 credit hours of Major Core requirements.
- 12 credit hours of Leisure Tourism Concentration or 12 credit hours of Corporate Travel Concentration.
- 9 hours of additional credits chosen from any HTE department courses (BVG, EVT, HTE, HTL, RST, TTM, or UA)
- Additional elective credit hours to achieve a required total of 120 credit hours for graduation.
Departmental Requirements:
- Declare the Travel and Tourism Management Major.
- Present verification of 600 clock hours of on-the-job experience in the TTM major prior to graduation. These hours may be secured through paid job experience, verified volunteer experience, cooperative education, internships or a combination of the four.
- Present a valid Adult CPR and First-Aid certification prior to graduation.
- Maintain a grade point average of 2.5.
A grade of “C” or better is required for courses in this program to count toward the bachelor’s degree. Students should note that programs throughout the university may have different minimum passing grade requirements.

Global Diversity Graduation Requirement (0 semester hours)
- Select any approved Global Diversity course within required General Studies courses
