The certificate in Outdoor Leadership focuses on providing students with scholarly instruction and practical experiences as leaders in the outdoor domain. The program will provide an integration of theory and hands-on courses covering such topics as outdoor skills and instruction, environmental justice, risk management, and social justice, to name a few.
The certificate in Outdoor Recreation Leadership is comprised of a minimum of 18 semester hours. A grade of “C” or better is required in all RECR-prefixed courses required for the certificate.
