EXS 4772 - Advanced Strength and Conditioning

Prerequisite(s): EXS 1640, HPS 3300

Description: This course will identify and elaborate upon important concepts from basic resistance training technique to biomechanics and exercise physiology. Emphasis will be placed on their application in designing appropriate goal-oriented strength and power training programs for specific athletic populations. Students will also learn about the technique and mechanical characteristics of several advanced weight training exercises commonly used in athletic populations and other fitness programs.
