Career Launchpad

Career Launchpad provides affordable pathways to high-demand careers and multiple academic credentials. Take a noncredit course in a high-demand field that can lead to a job, or convert the course to credit and earn an MSU Denver credential or degree. The Career Launchpad offers training in high-demand industries, and MSU Denver faculty teach the classes. All classes are eight weeks long and in a self-paced online format. www.msudenver.edu/careerlaunchpad


College Credit in High School

Through the College Credit in High School Program, students can earn college credits while in high school. High school students have several programs to choose from, including dual enrollment, concurrent enrollment, Accelerating Students through Concurrent Enrollment (ASCENT), and Teacher Recruitment Education and Preparation program (TREP). www.msudenver.edu/highschool


The Colorado Center for Medical Laboratory Science

The post-baccalaureate 1-year certificate in Medical Laboratory Science is a nationally recognized program. Completing the program allows the student to become eligible to sit for MLS(ASCP) professional certification through the American Society for Clinical Pathology.  www.msudenver.edu/ccmls


Professional Development

Breastmilk and Infant Formula Technician 

This noncredit course provides specialized training for Infant Formula Technicians to increase confidence and capacity and decrease errors. Technicians receive training in every aspect of proper human milk and formula preparation based on infant feeding guidelines from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. www.msudenver.edu/formulatech

Professional Writing Certificate  

Effective writing is a valuable skill necessary to succeed and advance in most professions. Individuals are recognized for successfully communicating their ideas to leadership, clients, and coworkers. The certificate consists of three classes: Writing Principles, Effective Business Writing, and Writing for Digital Media. www.msudenver.edu/professionalwriting

Petroleum Land Management (PLM)

From landing your first job to advancing your career in the energy field, MSU Denver’s Petroleum Land Management courses and certificates prepare land and land administration professionals for long-term success in the oil and gas industry. The curriculum is a partnership with Petroleum Education Workshops.

Each course is one month long and available entirely online.

You can choose to take any one of our nine online courses, or combine courses to receive a certificate. There are three certificates offered. www.msudenver.edu/plm

Water Studies Certificate  

The Western United States has a long history of water challenges, and the effects of climate change add to the difficulties. The Water Studies courses and certificate was developed for people interested in safeguarding this precious resource. Students will learn the history, law, management, and water trends in Colorado and the American West.

These topics are of interest to many industries, including  wastewater, manufacturing, construction, risk management, utilities, hospitality, sustainable operations, law, and engineering.
