Prerequisite(s): Admission to graduate program
This course provides student with an interdisciplinary perspective on cognition in the context of the learning environment. Informed by current research on cognition, motivation, and culture, the course is designed to promote a thorough understanding of the connection of theory to practice. Students will use case studies to illustrate the realities of teaching and offer valuable perspectives on challenging education. Drawing on multiple lenses, students will create innovative learning environments designed to optimize learning and engagement of students.
