PSY 4100 - Clinical/Counseling Psychology: Treatment, Practice, and Skills

Prerequisite(s): PSY 1001 and PSY 3000 or PSY 3620
Description: Students in this course survey clinical and counseling psychology therapeutic procedures and techniques. Emphases of the course include therapeutic modalities, assessment, and diagnosis. There is a focus on ethical and multicultural issues related to the practice of psychology, as well as legal and licensing issues in the practice of clinical/counseling psychology and related practice fields. This course has a Service Learning Designation such that some sections may include a Service Learning component.
Note: Some sections of this course may be taught as Service Learning.
