PUB 4020 - Peer Health Education- Field Experience

Prerequisite(s): Approval of instructor
Description: In this course students work with the national Peer Health Exchange program to provide peer educational information in local High Schools. Students are responsible for facilitating classroom activities and discussions with High School Freshmen regarding sexual and behavioral health, substance abuse, mental health, and overall well-being. MSU Denver students provide information and resources to support skill development in High School students when making health behavior choices. The course includes training on health education curriculum and technical assistance provided by the course instructor along with support from the national Peer Health Exchange program.
