The History major must choose between a General Concentration and a Secondary Education Concentration. The General Concentration requires the completion of a minor in another discipline in order to graduate. The Secondary Education Concentration is intended for individuals who are in the Secondary Education Social Studies Licensure Program. These individuals are required to take other specific courses listed under Teacher Education in this Catalog. Both concentrations within the major require a minimum of 42 semester hours including 15 hours of core courses and an additional 27 hours in courses primarily selected from three different categories. All students should check with a departmental advisor in order to make a proper selection of courses.
