Sport Management

The MSU Denver Sport Management major prepares students to work in the growing and competitive field of sport management. Content within the major covers key areas, such as sport facility and event management, sport and social media, governance and management of amateur and professional sport, high school and collegiate athletics administration, and sport promotion and sponsorship.

A grade of “C” or better in all major courses is required in order to receive credit.

SM 4610: Students who have not fulfilled all general education requirements through courses or transfer credit should strongly consider completing these requirements prior to registering for this course.

Students must have a 2.80 GPA in the major to be eligible for an internship.

SM 4890 and SM 4891 must be taken concurrently. Students must have completed a minimum of 36 credit hours within the major before they will be allowed to register for SM 4890 and SM 4891.
