HPS 3010 - Exploring School Health Education

Prerequisite(s): ITP 1500, HPS 1601, HPS 1650, provisional acceptance to teacher education

Description: This course is a companion course to and must be taken concurrently with HPS 3000 Health Programs in Human Performance and Sport This course integrates health content, theory, and conceptual aspects of the coordinated school health program in a 60-hour service learning experience. The student will participate with local agencies, non-profit organizations and/or school districts toward a common goal of creating a healthier school environment and healthier community.
