Chemistry Major for ACS Certified B.S.

Required Courses:

Electives: 6 credits


An additional 6 credit hours of upper division chemistry electives are required and should be selected in consultation with the Chemistry Department. The senior experience in Chemistry (CHE 4950) does not count as an elective. Students may take any senior experience approved by the University.

* These courses, along with MTH 1410 and the ancillary physics courses, count as General Studies courses. In addition, at least one of the General Studies courses must satisfy the Global Diversity requirement.

A minor is also required for graduation. A grade of “C” or better is required for each course in this program to count toward the bachelor’s degree. Students should note that programs differ in the minimum grade required.
