Sport Industry Operations Concentration

The MSU Denver Sport Industry Operations program prepares students to work in the growing and competitive field of sport management. Content within the concentration covers key areas, such as sport facility and event management, sport and social media, governance and management of amateur and professional sport, high school and collegiate athletics administration, and sport promotion and sponsorship. Students with a concentration in Sport Industry Operations are required to select a minor in an area approved by a Sport Industry Operations program advisor.

A grade of “C” or better in all concentration courses is required in order to receive credit.

HPS 4610: Students who have not fulfilled all general education requirements through courses or transfer credit should strongly consider completing these requirements prior to registering for this course.

Students must have a 2.80 GP A in the concentration to be eligible for an internship.

Students with a concentration in Sport Industry Operations are required to select a minor in an area approved by a Sport Industry Operations program advisor.

HPS 4890 and HPS 4891 must be taken concurrently. Students must have completed a minimum of 36 credit hours within the concentration before they will be allowed to register for HPS 4890 and HPS 4891.
