About the Program
The Water Studies Certificate is a 15-credit, interdisciplinary program of study that provides a holistic, highly interactive experience. The curriculum is designed to facilitate water studies education to students from a wide range of disciplines by introducing them to the importance of water resources and stewardship via coursework and co-curricular programs.

General Certificate Requirements
Certificate requirements for the university can be found on the page below. All students seeking a certificate at the undergraduate level must follow these requirements in addition to the specifc requirements related to the certificate declared. Program Requirements
- This certificate program is open to all undergraduate, degree-seeking students and also to non-degree-seeking students.
- At least 9 credits of water studies courses in the certificate must be completed in residency at MSU Denver, as well as 6 credit hours of electives.
- A grade of “C” or better must be earned in each course required for the certificate. Students should note that programs differ in the minimum grade required.

Required Courses: 9 credits
Elective Courses: 6 credits
Students must select 6 semester hours of elective courses in consultation with staff of the One World One Water Center or with an advisor in their major department. Summary of Requirements
