Fitness and Exercise Leadership Minor

About the Program


The Fitness and Exercise Leadership minor provides students with the foundational knowledge and entry-level competencies necessary to develop evidence-based exercise leadership skills and programming for the general population to improve fitness and health outcomes. Exercise leadership and physical wellness with an emphasis on a whole-person approach to a healthy lifestyle will be emphasized. Students graduating with this minor will be prepared to study for certifying exams from nationally accredited (NCCA) fitness and health-related agencies.

Program Requirements


  • This minor is a total of 19-20 credits.
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA is required.
