A minimum 45-hour field-based experience is required.

This course is designed to introduce teachers to assessment, curriculum, and instruction for students with severe disabilities. Focus will be given to including students in their neighborhood schools, home, work, and community. The course also emphasizes the selection and efficacy of assistive device technologies. A minimum 45-hour field-based experience is required.
