ECO 3800 - Development Economics

Prerequisite(s): ECO 1040 or ECO 2020

This course provides a comprehensive framework for analyzing the issues of development from an economic perspective.  Students examine the components of development that economists typically study, including economic growth, income inequality, poverty, population growth, and the intersections between growth and the environment, education, and health.  Additionally, students explore the special characteristics of land, labor, and credit markets in rural areas of developing countries.
